John Gwiazdzinski Psychologist
John Gwiazdzinski takes the time to listen and understand you as a person and the difficulties of your situation. He is an accepting, warm, person and brings the wisdom of many years of psychology to the table. He has a gentle approach, taking the time for you to develop your own insights.
He began his career as a school psychologist, spending 25 years working with children. He sees adolescents and brings this training and expertise to his current work with adolescents. He can address mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, but also can make a contribution in the area of achievement at school and other school based issues.
He has since worked in several demanding roles that demonstrate the extent of his work with people exposed to highly stressful situations. His work experience includes prison settings and defense psychology. He has also been involved in recruitment and other organizational services. The focus of his clinical work with adults at Westbourne Park Psychology is in the treatment of anxiety disorders, with a focus on Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma recovery.
John’s experience in psychology covers a wide range of areas. He also works with couples who wish to improve their relationship, and borrows interventions from a number of different orientations depending on the needs of the couple.
